A sliding contact enables the transfer of electrical current between stationary and moving objects. For example, the brush-slip-ring system of a generator used in a wind power system needs a long lifespan. This study was a laboratory-scale investigation into the effect of Ag rate of silver–graphite brushes against a silver-coated slip ring.
