Summary:
This paper explains the living-body sensor using a multiple-antenna system. First, the security sensor using MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) antenna is introduced. Some experimental results in indoor and outdoor environments are indicated to show this scheme offers a high sensitivity in detecting the intruders. Second application is the monitoring sensor of vital signs. It is shown the microwave sensor with multiple-antenna system can detect the existence of the living body from the channel fluctuation caused by the body-motion, heartbeat and respiration. Also, this technique can be extended to estimate the locations of the multiple living bodies.
