Slotted-waveguide array antennas are attractive because of their low-loss characteristics at high frequencies. Several types of slotted arrays whose polarization axis is inclined to the waveguide axis have been reported. A compound slotted waveguide array antenna is a representative slot array antenna with inclined linear polarization. However, there are very few reports on design methods or design results for this type of antenna. In this paper, we report a design method for compound slotted waveguide array antennas. The characteristics of the compound slot element are expressed by the antisymmetric T-network equivalent circuit. The array antenna is designed by F-matrix calculation, and the effectiveness of the designed antennas is verified through experiments.
