Summary:
A compact power divider mechanical-controlling dividing ratio has been investigated. The divider consists of a rectangular waveguide section with a coaxial probe in order to deliver microwave power from the waveguide to the coaxial line, and three rotary fins and one tuning metal post are incorporated for mechanical-control of the dividing ratio. The divider with the range of the delivered power ratio to the coaxial line from 1.1% to 78.4% under less than -28.6 dB return loss was designed with electromagnetic field simulations. By experiments of a prototype divider based on the design, the capability of controlling the dividing ratio was confirmed.
