Summary:
As the development of ubiquitous communication becomes more mature, the researches related to Body Area Network (BAN) have caught much attention in the recent years of telecommunication industry. There has been a variety of applications in the healthcare industry and the amusement by employing BAN for mobile terminal. This research is to propose the schemes which study the hand movement identification and the hand shape identification utilizing the technology of Intra-Body Communication. The VSWR on the testee, equipped with the probes, is measured in hand wrist movement identification technology. The hand wrist movement such as up, down, left and right motion can be recognized. In addition, we have performed the electromagnetic analysis simulation by using the FDTD method to demonstrate the validity of this model. Furthermore, the hand shape identification is proposed as the application for the hand wrist movement identification technology, and Janken Identification system has been evaluated by us as a practical system. With the positive results of the experiments, the hand movement identification and hand shape identification are achievable employing the technology of Intra Body Communication.
