Summary: High quality vocoder STRAIGHT is improved in this paper for real-time vocal manipulation system. The system manipulates the user's vocal sound and converts its singing style into a professional-like singing style in real time. User can sing with the professional-like singing style by using the system. The conversion is based on fundamental frequency transcription with a high-quality vocoder. The system storages the fundamental frequency contour estimated from professional singer and transcribes the contour onto the user's vocal sound. A simplified high-quality vocoder is proposed for the real-time manipulation. The conducted evaluation demonstrated the effectiveness of the proposed system.
