Summary: 
We proposed a method to reduce mode field diameter (MFD) mismatch loss between a single-mode fiber and a high nonlinear photonic crystal fiber with small MFD by air hole diameter control using CO2 laser irradiation. Effectiveness of the method was theoretically and experimentally clarified.
