Lightning location (distance and direction) accuracy is discussed by single-site lightning location technique and using theoretical sferic waveforms, which take into account the effect of the magnetized ionosphere. Especially, we found three topics: (a) the efficient measurement frequency rage is from 400 Hz to 30 kHz for wideband sferics, (b) the estimated locations for different directions depend on the effect of the difference in the ionospheric reflection coefficients, and (c) a lot of numbers of sferic reflected waves improve the location accuracy. These results would become advantages for the improvement of lightning location accuracy.
