Summary: SOA (service oriented architecture) is an emerging IT architecture that enables every functionality in enterprise systems as an abstract Web Service to incorporate services by using orchestration. SOA can be applied to SDP (Service Delivery Platform), which incorporates NGN (Next Generation Network) capabilities with other web services in the Internet. Therefore, we expect that SOA-based orchestration platform will be launched to orchestrate various services in telecommunication, Internet, enterprise area, etc. Likewise, in facility network (building automation system), which controls and manages facilities in building, Web Service standards such as BACnet/WS have been recently published to enrich capabilities of facility network. In this paper, in order to widely provide composite applications using a lot of building facility information, we propose a system design in which building group management server collects building information such as power consumption by using Web Service and cooperates with SOA platform. Then, we evaluate performance of our proposed system design.
