Summary:
In digitally watermarking music data, it is necessary to embed watermarks in consideration of man's aural characteristic. Then, digital watermark methods using the aural characteristic of octave similarity was proposed. However, this method has a problem that the tonal quality deterioration cannot be completely resolved. This paper proposes a new method to solve the above problem by using the mel sacle of auditionaly pitch and STFT filter banks. The proposed method increases the embeded volume of information, and achieves high tonal quality that is similar to original sound sources.
