Summary:
The purpose of this study is to design the novel interface that enable to reduce the difficulties of turn- takings due to delays among multi-party conversation with speech rate conversion. To achieve this goal, we propose and evaluated a visual feedback functions that can share the listening end time information for facilitating turn-talking among conversation participants. The experimental results showed that a visual feedback functions work effectively for decreasing the average of response latencies. The results indicate that the visual feedback functions enable next speakers to smoothing turn-takings and also to improve performance improvements of conversations.
