Summary: 
The purpose of this research is to develop a reading speech fluency assessment method for pupils. We have been developing five metrics to assess the features of reading speech fluency. In these metrics, we introduce the number of pauses, period lengths of pauses, types of pauses, ratio of pause period against whole reading speech period and ratio of word aloud period against for whole reading speech period. In this paper, based on the practical evaluation for 47 pupils reading data, we show the validity of our metrics, then we briefly show the function and mechanism of our reading speech fluency assessment tool.
