For an ultra-fine coaxial cable connected with coaxial connectors, the method to identify its dominant PIM source is proposed. In this paper, while keeping the condition of connector-mating and connector-cable junctions, sample configuration for evaluating the PIM due to the center conductor is proposed. A method to extract the PIM due to a part of a sample by using an additional low PIM wire conductor is also proposed. Using the proposed method, it is found that the center-conductor material of the connector is dominant PIM source in ultra-fine coaxial cable connected with coaxial connectors.
