Blind sequence detection gets rid of channel estimation error, so it has an advantage on the detection performance compared with sequence detection via blind channel estimation. However, in general, the blind sequence detection needs a large computational amount. Therefore, some papers make efforts at reducing the computational amount by use of the orthogonalization and Viterbi algorithm. This paper proposes new blind sequence detection using partial MLSE on the assumption of low order modulation scheme. Our simulation shows that the proposed scheme performs well close to the coherent detection with ideal channel estimation.
